📌 Compass Homeschools Certified Coach Requirements & Disqualifications

✅ Minimum Requirements

To apply for Compass Homeschools Certified Coach status, you must meet the following:

1️. Homeschooling Experience – At least one year of homeschooling experience (as a parent, co-op teacher, or mentor).
2️. Statement of Faith – Must agree with and uphold the Compass Homeschools Statement of Faith.
3️. Code of Ethics – Must sign and adhere to the Compass Homeschools Coaching Code of Ethics.
4️. Background Check – Must provide a clear background check or consent to one being processed.
5️. Commitment to Mentorship – Must demonstrate a willingness to support, encourage, and guide homeschool families.

📌 Applicants who meet these requirements can proceed with the standard certification process.

⚡ Fast-Track Certification Option

For experienced homeschoolers or mentors who wish to fast-track their certification, additional documentation will be required:
✅ Three years of homeschooling experience (parent, mentor, co-op teacher, or homeschool leader).
✅ Two letters of recommendation from homeschooling families or educational leaders.
✅ Personal coaching statement describing past mentorship or leadership experience.

📌 Applicants who qualify for fast-track certification will bypass certain training modules and move directly to assessment and competency review.

🚫 What May Disqualify an Applicant?

Applicants may not be approved for certification if they:

❌ Have a criminal record with convictions related to child abuse, domestic violence, fraud, or other serious offenses.
❌ Do not align with Compass Homeschools' Statement of Faith or Code of Ethics.
❌ Lack homeschooling experience (unless applying as an apprentice under an approved mentor).
❌ Show a pattern of unethical or divisive behavior in homeschool communities or coaching settings.
❌ Refuse to provide a background check or required documentation.
