Code of Ethics

Biblical integrity, professionalism, and grace-based support in all areas of our Network.

The Compass Homeschools Code of Ethics reflects our commitment to maintaining biblical integrity, professionalism, and grace-based support in all areas of our Network. This ethical standard applies to CH-Certified Coaches, our online platform, curriculum, workshops, and community interactions. Families can trust that CH upholds these values in everything we offer.

All CH-Certified Coaches, as well as contributors to CH programs and initiatives, agree to abide by the following ethical commitments:

1. Commitment to Biblical Principles

✔️ Christ-Centered Approach – Compass Homeschools prioritizes a Christ-centered approach in all coaching, curriculum, and resources, leading with humility and grace (Colossians 3:17).
✔️ Faithfulness Over Perfection – CH encourages families to focus on faithfulness, growth, and discipleship, rather than striving for unattainable perfection (Micah 6:8).
✔️ Integrity & Honesty – All interactions, recommendations, and resources provided through CH must uphold honesty, transparency, and biblical truth (Proverbs 12:22).
✔️ Respect for Parental Authority – Parents are the primary educators of their children, and CH resources and coaches support them in making informed decisions (Deuteronomy 6:6-7).

2. Professionalism & Integrity

✔️ Maintain Confidentiality – CH upholds family trust by maintaining confidentiality in personal discussions, except when disclosure is required for legal or safety reasons (Proverbs 11:13).
✔️ Uphold Ethical Boundaries – CH-Certified Coaches and contributors must refrain from using their roles for personal gain or engaging in behavior that compromises integrity (1 Thessalonians 5:22).
✔️ Avoid Conflicts of Interest – Any financial or personal interests that could impact objectivity in coaching, curriculum recommendations, or workshops must be disclosed.
✔️ Respect for Diverse Approaches – CH acknowledges that families may use different homeschool styles and does not impose any single approach as the only valid method (Romans 14:5-6).
✔️ No Unauthorized Use of CH Branding – Independent resources may be created by CH-Certified Coaches, but CH branding may not be used, nor official endorsement implied, without express written approval.

3. Commitments & Boundaries

✔️ No Imposition of Personal Convictions – CH supports families from diverse backgrounds and denominational perspectives. CH resources and coaches exist to equip, not dictate (Romans 14:1-4).
✔️ No Coercion or Fear-Based Guidance – CH encourages families to make prayerful, informed decisions without pressure or manipulation (2 Timothy 1:7).
✔️ Respect for Parental Rights – CH recognizes parents as the primary decision-makers in their children’s education and provides resources to empower, not replace, their authority (Ephesians 6:4).
✔️ Confidentiality & Data Protection – Family information is never shared without consent unless required for legal or safety purposes (Proverbs 11:13).
✔️ Independent Coaching & Services – CH-Certified Coaches are not employees, agents, or representatives of Compass Homeschools. They function as independent service providers under the ethical guidelines of CH.

4. Excellence in Coaching, Curriculum, & Mentorship

✔️ Encouraging Discernment – CH provides guidance and resources that encourage families to evaluate homeschooling decisions through prayer, wisdom, and sound judgment (James 1:5).
✔️ Supporting Family Growth – All CH resources and coaching efforts aim to encourage, guide, and offer practical solutions while equipping parents for success (Ephesians 4:29).
✔️ Commitment to Growth – CH continually seeks to expand its knowledge, wisdom, and impact to better serve the homeschooling community (Proverbs 4:7).
✔️ Leading by Example – All who contribute to CH initiatives strive to uphold biblical values in their interactions, maintaining a teachable spirit and a commitment to improvement (Philippians 3:12-14).

5. Ethical Accountability & Conflict Resolution

✔️ Step 1: Direct Communication – If concerns arise regarding CH-Certified Coaches or resources, CH encourages direct and respectful resolution efforts (Matthew 18:15).
✔️ Step 2: Mediation & Review – If unresolved, families may bring concerns to Compass Homeschools leadership, who will prayerfully review the situation (Proverbs 11:14). Leadership will consider all perspectives, seek biblical wisdom, and determine an appropriate course of action. This may include mentorship, content correction, or, in serious cases, revocation of certification or removal from the CH Network (Titus 1:7-9).
✔️ Ethical Accountability Strengthens the Community – This process is designed to encourage growth and ensure a standard of integrity that honors God.

6. Ongoing Growth & Commitment to Excellence

✔️ Commitment to Prayer & Personal Growth – CH encourages ongoing prayer, study, and biblical discernment in all aspects of homeschooling (James 1:5).
✔️ Welcoming Feedback – CH values constructive feedback from families, coaches, and leadership to continually refine its programs (Proverbs 15:31-32).
✔️ Multiplication Mindset – CH promotes a discipleship culture where families and leaders mentor and support one another (2 Timothy 2:2).
✔️ Broader Discipleship Vision – CH aims to serve not only individual families but also contribute to the larger mission of strengthening Christian homeschooling communities.
